Junior Achievement learning experiences cover financial literacy, career and work readiness, and entrepreneurship. Our extensive scope and sequence helps explain how our programs cover these subjects at various grade levels.

You will receive information on next steps. You will be able to coordinate a schedule that works for your class either online or in conjunction with a JA representative. Once a volunteer is identified for your class, JA will connect you with the presenter to discuss roles, expectations, and logistics. After all details are in place, the JA volunteer will deliver lessons to your students either virtually or in-person. Before visiting JA BizTown or in-person, 4th to 6th grade students complete classroom training where they learn basic economic principles such as free enterprise and business, how to make choices as a consumer, and how to manage their personal bank account.

They also participate in job interviews and learn about their new workplace and the job they will perform. JA BizTown is a 12, square foot simulated city located at our new state-of-the-art facility in St. Several weeks of classroom learning culminates in a day-long visit to this experiential learning lab where students become adults for a day. By working in one of 18 JA BizTown shops, students learn what it takes to run a successful business, manage a debit card and checking account, and work as a team.
