Good Price to perfprmance when bought second hand, BUT it crashes due to heat very often. Costs nothing and can run e-sports and some AAA titles even if drivers are from So you're putting together a PC and need a cheap card that can still game okay, and you're thinking of a GTX They will need disassembling to clean and put in new thermal paste not a hard job but should work fine after that.
The down side is that they have very limited memory by today's standards and graphics settings will need to be set to 'low' along with p resolution as a starting point. Work your way up from there and decide what is 'playable' for you. If you're not playing the latest and greatest games you may be pleasantly surprised. More downside?
These things suck power like my girlfriend They use a lot of power and get very, very hot. Stupidly hot by todays standards, especially if you've skipped cleaning and renewing the thermal paste. The last bit of bad news is that driver support ended late , no any games from on most likely won't work, and if they do it'll be a mixed bag of results. The good news is that they are cheap, will work fine with older games, and if you aren't playing online competitive multiplayer they should suit you well.
I keep mine alongside my well-used GT which drove my machine from until late Its the card I could have had. Enjoy yours! See how consistently different GPUs perform with varying real world conditions.
The charts also illustrate overall performance, popularity and rank. Forum Actions. Report Post. So far no solution. Yes, that is exactly the kind of artifacts I am getting too.
Uncontrollable artifacts all over the screen and after seconds the computer just crashes and I will get either a blue screen or a black screen where it will say 'no input' on monitor. On my PC it appeared after almost 2 full years, and I have never even overclocked my card, and its not factory overclocked either. Sometimes when I play video games, mostly Dota 2 but also games like CS:GO and Rome 2 Total War, the screen will start getting artifacts after about minutes within playing a game. Then the artifacts will spread out like crazy, and it is impossible for me to play on.
But only a few seconds later, the PC will crash and lose connection with the monitor, so the monitor says no input. Then I will manually have to turn the PC off and on, and on reboot the computer will show artifacts during the loading screens, but return to normal once it reaches the desktop. Sometimes it will show a bluescreen instead of the lost monitor signal when it crashes, and it will automatically reboot. Usually I run Dota 2 with FPS but I use Vsync to keep it stable at 60 , but after a recovery from an imminent crash I will just have fps in Dota 2 and it is unplayable.
This computer has run perfectly up until these recent months. The artifact and crash thing happens randomly and sometimes it can happen several times a day for a week, while other times I can play for maybe 2 weeks without any interference.

The higher the better for higher resolution textures and future demanding games. Though serious gamers hardly play at 4k.

Clarity or Details? Are you getting sudden frame drops? If you want to run multiple monitors at high resolutions aka gaming, blu-ray movies , then this card will work for you. Because that is exactly what I use it for. I bought the KR version. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. It doesn't seems to work on the Mac Pro 3. Still need to be tested on PC. But when bought it said it can be used on the Mac Pro and have seen it can on the web but for some reason when I power plug it it lights up has it should but the screen remains black.
It doesn't seem to be he drivers either. Report abuse. Everything I do on my desktop I do twice as fast as on a laptop with a mobile Core i7 cpu.
Use the ones one the DVD that came with the card. If, by any chance, you downloaded and installed the drivers from the website, you will notice, if you have two screens, that the extended screen flickers all the time. Delete those files, and install the drivers from the DVD. If you happen to miss any of the files, you might get the flickering after the reinstall, and you'll have to do it all over again.
I did that and had a hard time for about 2 days figuring out what to do. Overall this is a great card and again, it's meant as a workstation card. Get the GTX or don't know exactly which if you need it for gaming. Also note that, if like me, you're using Adobe collection a lot, your CPU is far more important than the video card, as all the rendering is done by the CPU. The "live" rendering you see in Adobe Premiere when you preview a movie is done using the Mercury Engine and here is where the GTX will shine.
Well, at first I wasn't sure if this would live up to its rep, mainly due to my q intel core 2, But!! Other then canada post, wankers attempted to hold onto my card even though it was priority shipped, Online stated that it was their for pickup, tho they refused to put the notification card in my mail box, this was pm, they close 5pm. BEST money spent yet. Be sure to have a good power supply before buying this video card! Back to top.
